Community

People are at the heart of our business. We look to create lasting, positive social impact in the communities where we do business, through engagement, charitable giving, volunteering initiatives and through relevant client services. Below are our key aims for the Community pillar.

  • Increase the impact of employee volunteering: Expand employee participation in community volunteering initiatives and increase the overall time our people spend giving back to the communities where we operate. As part of this, we will work to tackle critical issues that will help people thrive in the places and spaces where we operate.
  • Increase the impact of our charitable giving: Each of Savills Principal Businesses aim to make available an amount of not less than 1% of underlying profit in any year to charitable causes, through financial or donations in kind, where appropriate and increase the impact of our charitable giving by ensuring we support causes that are progressively more aligned with our strategic priorities.
  • Raise aspirations and/or provide opportunities that enable people in the communities where we operate to progress in the workforce: We will support organisations, through our employee volunteering and/or charitable giving programmes that help raise aspirations and/or provide opportunities that enable people in the communities where we operate to progress in the workforce.
  • Increase the positive impact of our client work: We will look to grow the impact of our advisory work that delivers positive outcomes for clients and in the communities we operate in year on year.

In 2024, our community highlights included:

  • Over 21,600 voluntary and pro bono hours given during the year across Savills
