Savills secures landmark regeneration instruction in Nottingham

Savills has secured a flagship mandate to assist Homes England in securing a Development Partner to regenerate the former Broadmarsh Shopping Centre in Nottingham.

Broadmarsh comprises one of the largest brownfield city centre opportunities in the UK. Situated between the Old Market Square and Nottingham’s Railway Station and extending to over 10 acres, it is felt development in this area would make a major contribution to the city. Broadmarsh will be regenerated over several key phases delivering a blend of retail, leisure, workspace, healthcare and living uses.

The process of securing a Development Partner means the team can use their local market knowledge and draw on Savills’ national network of mixed-use specialists to secure the right partner. The scope of the role will require the team to use its Development Consultancy, Valuation, Marketing and Agency skills to structure a partnership deal that allows a range of development parcels to be delivered in phases.

Commenting on the appointment, Ben Glover, Head of Development at Savills in Nottingham, says: “This is a fantastic instruction to win and one which the team is really excited to be assisting Homes England with. It clearly demonstrates the strength in depth we have in Nottingham which, combined with the experience of our nationwide mixed-use teams, provides clients with a market-leading service and access to a range of specialists to help achieve the best outcome for them.”
